As I take more and more photographs of people, I'm learning about new techniques, practicing them, and trying to come up with new ideas to add to my portfolio. For this vision, I knew that I wanted to practice using some off camera flash with a softbox, I knew I wanted the model wearing a "glam-grunge" outfit, and I knew I wanted to be in the Back Bay in Boston. However I did not yet have a model to work with, so I took to Instagram to see if anyone would be interested in modeling for this idea, and was thrilled when Lindsay reached out! Despite not having much modeling experience, Lindsay did a fantastic job and she was nothing but patient as I worked through different lighting setups, camera settings, and when I was giving confusing posing direction.
